BTB Hoof

Tuffy

Hello, I just had to write and let you know what your product BTB Hoof has meant to my Quarter horse gelding Tuffy. Tuffy came to me two years ago at the age of 14 to pasture sit my broodmare. He is a lovely 16.1 hand, huge gelding with a sweet disposition and little feet! I had never seen this horse before he came to my farm and I was appalled when he got off the trailer - his front feet hurt him so much that he didn't want to step down to the ground from the trailer barely able to walk. He had been diagnosed with navicular since he was 5. His owners had left him barefoot for the last two years.

Needless to say, I got the farrier out ASAP to take the pressure off his navicular. We had to rest him between feet because he couldn't tolerate the pressure of standing on one front leg for very long. When he was finished being shod it felt so good to him that he took off bucking when we turned him loose.

I then turned to providing him with whatever product was on the market that he could tolerate which ending up giving him only the slightest comfort. Then I read about BTB Hoof and decided to try that on Tuffy. He was quickly reaching the stage where his quality of life was compromised and this was the last thing to try. He made an immediate improvement and along with comfort level. I always give it to him in the am and can tell if Im late. I know BTB Hoof is no cure, but I am grateful that I am able to give him some relief with this product.

Sierra's Classy Lady

In May 1996, I had the opportunity to witness the birth of a beautiful Appaloosa filly. She was bred by a friend of mine - who invited me to witness the birth. I immediately fell in love! I bought her when she was a week old. Her name is Sierra's Classy Lady, I call her Sierra. She is now coming seven. I have always loved Appaloosas, ever since my first horse when I was barely four. His name was Pepper and we were inseparable.

Sierra has had some problems in her life. She had a terrible time with sand colic, pigeon fever and then laminitis. The laminitis occurred immediately after she was cleared of the pigeon fever. My vet did all the usual things - including x-rays which confirmed a 2% rotation of both front feet. Just the mention of the word founder sent chills in me, the word I never wanted to hear. The vet put Sierra on the normal course - grass hay, stall rest, isoxsuprine and bute. After several weeks and 2000 isoxsuprine tabs - Sierra was thought to be "cured". Three days later the pulsing in her feet returned. Back to the isoxsuprine and bute.

During this time a friend of mine was reading about a product BTB Hoof, specifically made for laminitic and navicular horses. I must say I was skeptical to say the least. But Sierra is my baby and I felt I owed her a try, so I did order. That was in May of 2002. I had not been able to ride since June of 2000. Every time I had tried she should have an immediate reaction, with lameness and pulsing in her feet. My farrier trimmed her every 8 weeks and she was shod on the front with bar shoes. So on June 6, 2002 I started with a loading dose of BTB Hoof. I noticed on that morning that Sierra had a digital pulse that I could feel, but she did not appear to be lame. I continued for a week. After 7 doses the pulsing was gone. She was acting frisky and not laying down near as much. I continue to give Sierra BTB Hoof everyday. I have gradually reduced her dose to the current level of 45 ml per day. I have her back in training and she is barefooted! My farrier says her feet look great and she has no pain. She is back to being a useful riding horse. My plan for her has always been to be my trail horse. Thanks to BTB Hoof, I believe she can be that horse. Without it, I am not sure what her fate would be. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your product. My "angel" is back - and it's because of you!

TB Field Hunter

I am writing in praise of your product BTB Hoof. Four years ago my thoroughbred field hunter was diagnosed with mild to moderate navicular syndrome. Maintaining him on Bute and Isoxuprine did not prevent typically three navicular flare-ups a year - one in the spring, summer and fall.

At each flare-up I would have to be off his back for at least two weeks. Early in 2003 I became concerned with the long-term effects of Bute. I decided to try BTB Hoof, which I had read about in Horse Journal. My horse has been on it ever since. In the spring of this year he began to get very slightly “ouchy” at the end of each work out. I increased his dosage of BTB Hoof and took a mile off his workouts.

Within two weeks he was perfectly sound on his maintenance dose at a full level of exercise. Three months later the same thing happened with the same results. Each time I never had to stop riding him! This Fall I waited for the same thing to happen. It never did. My horse has been perfectly sound despite the increase in his work, which happens at this time of the year. Your product is absolutely amazing! I wouldn't be without it!

Bunny

I am writing to you to let you know how my mare, Bunny is doing on BTB Hoof. She foundered in the beginning of July 2003. I started her on BTB Hoof about 6 or 7 months ago. When my vet saw her last he asked if she was on bute. I told him she hasn't been on bute anymore, just BTB HOOF.

He was surprised. She has been totally sound. We just recently took her to a Trakehner inspection to get approved as a broodmare. I was nervous about the trot work on hard ground.

Not only did she do fine, but she got a very good score and was approved. She also has been under saddle for 5 months, back in dressage training doing lower level.

She is only 6 years old, so I do have alot of hope for her and hope to be writing to you again to tell you how she is doing in the show ring next time.

Thanks again, Venice Liston, Riverside, CA
